TODAY IN THE WORLD IS STILL 1.3 BILLION PEOPLE NOT TO ENJOY ELECTRICITY

 

 Do you know, until now there are 1.3 billion people in the world who have not enjoyed the electrical connections. The world’s energy needs continue to increase each year but still many people who have not enjoyed it.

This was conveyed in a summary of the World Energy Outlook 2011, which was quoted on Wednesday (11/16/2011).

In the study released International Energy Agency (IEA), the said investment needed to improve access to modern energy to the world community amounting to U.S. $ 48 billion in 2030. It increased more than fivefold compared to the investment needs in 2009 which amounted to U.S. $ 9 billion.

Because this time, the world also there are still 2.7 billion people who cook using the traditional way and have not been able to get access to LPG.

Value of investment needs was only 3% of the total investment required in the energy sector in 2030 is estimated to reach U.S. $ 38 trillion by 2030.

Until now there are many poor people the world who can not enjoy energy-efficiently. Even be said of all energy subsidies issued by the government in the world, only 20% are up to the poor.

In Indonesia case, the Deputy Minister said the Indonesia government to cost up to U.S. $ 11.5 billion a year  in order to increase the electrification ratio Indonesia to 92.2% in 2019 later. For this year Indonesia is targeted to achieve electrification ratio 71.86%.
